Dawkins book is indeed good and relatively balanced i.e. not offensive unless you are a bit of bible basher.

i hate all religion and find it ridiculous that there are so many brainwashed idiots that follow such flawed beliefs. christianity is taught as a fact in schools, and that is disgracefull imo.

I did. We always prayed that the dinner ladies had been replaced with ones that could actually cook.

Definitely didn't do prayers before meals. Might have sung a few hymns or something. I don't really remember much about primary school. Definitely no religion at secondary school though.

Some people need a reason to live, and it really does help them get through life as well... Let them get on with it I say, I could never follow a religion and if I chose to I doubt it would be something as dogmatic as Christianity which has a ridiculous amount of flaws.... I can't help but take pity on mormons though.. That religion really takes the biscuit.

I went to a C of E school, we didn't do prayers or anything. Infact, our headteacher was a Hare Krishna.
