Why the hell couldn't we have had this transfer embargo a while back.

Then we wouldn't have had to put up with players like Ricky Shakes, Aaron Brown & Jamie Slabber.

I'm 99% sure it does not effect outgoing just incoming as you would have to have the money to pay incoming which we clearly haven't

Although no one seems interested in the players we want to get out of here at the moment

can you blame them?

I blame the football league for approving those deals. And Ralphy... Soapy Tit Wank

Of course the currernt owners should be paying bills as they fall due but of course they are not

I suspect they will get "a loan" from SSW again and then we will be told what a wonderful benefactor he is for bailing us out yet again and how he loves the club and really wants the takeover to go thorugh (but they won't tell us about the 10% interest rate).

Why should Fitton pay the money according the the board he has already put in a sum of money to pay HMRC

Yes, within 48 hours we will get the usual line of "SSW has provided the money" that should read "SSW loaned the money at an astronomical rate of interest"

From the WDP Swindon fail to escape embargo ...

(Apparently someone took the last of the cash for a piss up on Thursday night)

Some interesting points about the takeover too ...

Is this correct? From the Gazette and Herald today:

Meanwhile, the club claim they have paid off all their football creditors, paving the way for the transfer embargo to be lifted once the Football League is satisfied.

Also on a slight side issue, shouldn't that headline, in light of recent allegations read

"Williams closes in on ROVERS return"Huh?

Or has he been barred from there?

I thought I read somewhere that Mr Starnes was going to see the FL today to plead our case and try to get the embargo lifted. If so, might we expect some news on the outcome?

It is very surprising nothing has been reported on this, Starnes obviously failed and they want to keep it quiet

This won't get sorted until Fitton takes over.
