I'm with Hertha and Gazzza on this.

For me the board and the football team are 2 seperate entities. I will always love the club, and for me the club is defined as the team, not the board.

Unfortunately they are connected, and in ways i would wish not, and christ i've been getting angrier and angrier about the plight of Yeovil and Mex, and i will do something, but i won't deprive myself of something i love, because things go on off the pitch that i'm not altogether embracing of.

Adversely i also feel that certain people within the club are licking their lips at the more annoyed fans deciding not to attend and not voice their concerns within the stadium.

Opinions are infectious. If one is given en masse, more people become effected by these opinions. If there's no one there to fight the clubs corner, fence sitters will forget about the problems in the end and eventually people will become content in their ignorance, as i often am.

But on my word, if there's a massive one game walk-out, or even a sit outside the ground game, i'm there. I'm in quite a 'smashing things up' mood about the state of things, but of course, i mean that in a metaphoric sense. I'm extremely unsettled and feeling quite uncomfortable and annoyed by the bans handed out. On one hand i want to be with Mex and Yeovil, but on the other i love the team. I feel pretty shit about not being more committed to their cause, i hope you understand lads! Oops

I hope the above post was diplomatic enough forum mods. I was careful to try and keep my wording ambiguous. I will be more than willing to hand you my name and address if the club want it. That would be a truly delightful can of worms for them to open although an extremely unlikely one on the grounds of the above post. Wink

Stand and fight. Its still OUR club! Im still a long way from giving up that they will leave.

But if people stop going I dont blame them one bit. £££ is the only thing Diamandis understands so not giving it to him is the best way to hurt him.

Best thing to do would be not to go to a certain game, like Donny or the next one.

Sitting outside the game makes a point I suppose

Yes, there's not thousands of us willing to sit it out, but the truth is that the guys on here are, for the most part, the back end of the town end and the corner of the Nationwide; the ones that sing their hearts out every game and drag the rest of the crowds with them. Numbers might not plummet, but the atmosphere will.

What about a late entry protest? let the papers know and they'll take photos of empty seats compared to a fuller house later (lazy journalism apperently the way forward) people arriving on mass 15 mins after kick off etc. I imagine convincing people to stay in the pub for an extra shandy is a little easier than geting people to skip the pub and march.

Just an idea from someone else who has lost "the bug" (I made more home games in the Quin season when I lived in Manchester than I managed last year living in Toothill)

It won't work. Even if everybody who turned up at the Cheltenham did it then any boycott / late protest wouldn't be noticed. Unless there's some heavy media coverage then it won't happen.

And I think we've burnt most our media protest outlets with the backing down on Saturday.

Even picking an evening game?
The town end is generally less than full at 5 mins past kick off (on games where it sells out) and watching from the Intel its a fairly dramatic sight watching the extra hundred racing over from the pub. What if this was a couple of hundred? It could be a powerful sight, and an awesome photo: Photogrophers always want one of these, if it looks good editors WILL print.

When is the FA Cup first round? As a season ticket holder I'll be attending all the games I've paid for but FA Cup will be an ideal opportunity for an organised boycott.

I've had some inspiration. I'm pretty sure that the only way a boycott might work, and it's a bit of a long shot, is if we all stop going to games!!!!

I won't be boycotting thats for sure.  Finally things start going well on the pitch and I don't want the board to think they've won by driving out the fans who are willing to make their voices heard.

I also couldn't do it to the players.  They still turned up for work despite no pay cheque and uncertainty if a pay cheque was even on the way.  They deserve our utmost support because of that IMO.

Problems with late entry is that it is almost certain they will just shut the gates and just not let you in anyway

I've stopped boycotting because it's cheaper to go to the game than stay in the pub
