You would expect a new board to accompany a change of control.

All depends on where the new money is coming from doesn't it

The board are trying to step down

I'm sorry mate but where does it say the the board are trying to step down Huh??

It says that the major shareholder understands he needs to pass the reigns to someone else, nothing about the board stepping down

The article says an investment partner not a takeover so I would assume there going nowhere.

Well I hate to say it but Bape on thisis was spot on again in saying that another party was interested that would loan us the money to stop being wound up by HMRC while due dilligence commenced.

The name banded round was Betfair, but lety me make this absolutly clear that this is unsubstantiated and could easily be several thousand miles wide of the mark. It's not clear to me why they would want to get involvved...

The statement - if true, sounds like it has the potential to be good news.

But we have heard it all before and it has come to nothing several times before. I don't think this has any bearing on whether to protest or not. We either try to put pressure on the Wills to do a deal, or we don't.

As a matter of interest, who else can petitiion to wind us up? Presumably paying the revenue takes away a large  % of the CVA, or am I missunderstanding exactly what is being paid off?

So would this money they put in to "lock in" the deal for x period be a loan or a payment?

Its going to be a loan isnt it?

Serious point here, I had intended turning up at midday, leaving home just before 11am, are we protesting or not?
If it is a no, I do not need to leave home until 1.15pm.

As far as I am concerned we are protesting until suitable evidence from solicitors is presented to the Trust board to confirm that all of the club's immediate liabilities that could result in an imminent winding up petition have been satisfied.

I'm certainly not getting fooled again. That statement couldn't smell more of shit if they plucked it straight from Barnfield road. The protests have to go ahead.
