Although when Best walk away its obvious we are going to get the blame for it,in some ways weve given the board a get out clause by protesting who cares. They can blame who they like. I didn't spend £12m more of the clubs money than it had over 6 years. I also don't really think Jim's comments mean much, just him covering his own side of thngs.

Anyway he seems happy enough to talk to the Adver after they revealed the super secret details of the deal. Sturrock isn't happy about the story, Holt isn't happy about the story but Little seems unconcerned...

Personally I think there maybe also an element of Jim Little calling the board's bluff regarding the; 'there's other people interested so hurry up and sign' comments by Holt on Tuesday. I'm thinking specifically of this: "whether we come to an agreement or not they are going to have to make sure the club is on a better financial footing. "If that means they have to find other resources, I care about the club and would love to be a part of it, but if the club can be in a healthy position regardless of my situation I would be over the moon."

Another interview and still no word on what Little/BEST's plans for the club are. Deliberatley avoiding all of these questions........
- Will the team be run on merit, and not as a shop window for agents? Will he dismantle the current team for foreigners being peddled by agents?
- Will he ensure STFC stays in Swindon?
- Does Sturrock have his backing?
- What would be Veiga's role? The bloke has allegations of corruption back in Portugal.

Heard the end of an interview on BBC RS with him this morning. They asked about Sturrock and though I only just caught the end of it I think he gave the usual "doing a great job...we are winning" that he gave to Sky sports @ Yeovil.
Anyone else hear what he said ?

Doesnt it strike anyone else as a bit FISHY that they havnt revealed any of their potential plans for the club?
Besides, this latest interview sounds more like a dictat from Dunwoody/the current board. The reasons for this could be any of 3 things I rekon.
1. Jim Little is a mug and he seriously thinks that STFC has been competantly run and 'SELFLESSLY!!!!' WTF!
2. Jim Little is smoothing things over to try and get a deal done. The leak of the deal to the Adver (and it was a leak, notice no backing down from the Adver whatsoever, 18m is factual) probably came from Little/BEST. He might think leaking the deal was a mistake as he can see the fans going awol.
3. Jim Little is planning to run the financial side of STFC in the same corrupt and haphazard way it has been run by Dunwoody. Black holes, no accounts, no transparency etc. He doesnt want to let on that STFC could be a lot lot better in charge of more professional people so that they can TAKE more for themselves.

Well we may have got their intentions all wrong, but with a lack of intention from them and looking at what they have already done it is indeed fishier that captain birseyes codpiece. If there was another way forward not involving BEST on the table then that would be great. If there isn't, and the deal folds it's probably curtains. I'm not sure HMRC and certain other creditors will swallow an "it's all gone wrong but don't worry, there may be another investor" story now. Like it or not, I don't see an alternative to BEST.

Interesting interview on the BBC here with Little... http://www.bbc.co.uk/wiltshire/content/articles/2007/10/12/stfc_121007_feature.shtmlPretty much sums up today’s Adver article although there’s a lot of emphasis on “differences of opinion” on where the money would go and would be used for. He confirms no exclusivity cause from day one. Surprised that the figures in the Adver got into the public domain and they were pretty much on the mark. He reads all of the ‘blogs’ (Hello Jim). “Jose is climbing the walls in Portugal.” No confirmation but it sounds like we could be talking days before the deal blows.
