We need to walk from down down fleming way, past b&q along that road. Get the road closed (obviously organised) so it creates disruption to saturday shoppers. Which will then create publicity....

I'm with this idea.  Ask people to bring along pro Swindon Town regalia as well as protest stuff against the Board.  It'll clearly be small fry in comparison but a mini recreation of 1990 might sprak some people into action - families joined in that day.

Could we maybe get other teams' fans involved in a march?

Was a good way to raise awareness about Brighton when they had their fans day thing, if we had loads of different colours on display it would show it's not only us that care.

There must be fans of other clubs who wouldn't want to see us out of business...

But would they be willing to give up their saturday game to come down and support? That's a bigger question.

If a march is going to be done we need the co-operation of the police. How much notice do they need to close a road off?

Traffic can still get into town via groundwell road. My only concern would be the buses.

I don't think they will close any roads off for this.

I dunno, i asked on another forum, and got this:

I would imagine you would get a fair few if you advertised it Dave. The Brighton turnout was excellent but was organised well in advance.
I just don't understand why this Portuguese fella would part with £18M when eseentially all he is doing is clearing debt. With the greatest respect, if your club owe monies to the council, they could leave you homeless couldn't they?

If a supporters unite day does happen, I will be there.
Best of luck and let's hope a solution is found.

And thats from a city fan!!
