Article in today's Swindon Adver:

http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/display.var.1733768.0.swindon_town_stop_gambling_with_club_says_power.php

I don't think we can read too much in to this.  But it's good to hear from the man again - even only if it puts pressure on the others to conclude a deal.

Obviously didn't get his money then.

Diamandis would prefer to take this club down before he deals with Bill Power, and it looks like he is doing exactly that.

I will be with the protestors on Saturday .... enough is enough.

That they're unhappy with the general situation.

I don't think there will be protests on Saturday.  (You might hear a few songs from the stands encouraging Diamandis to self-copulate, however.)

Most of the fans just aren't interested in the politics at the club - I think we've all learned that during the last 12 months.  I doubt that any more than half of our fans even know who Diamandis is.

Perhaps its the disgraceful way investors want to know about hidden debts YR?

Seriously though despite concerns about numbers, specific aims etc I like a few others feel that a protest is worthy of serious consideration.

Has it really got to the stage where fans can do no more than talk on message boards? Are we really so powerless or battle weary, or should we only protest if we are guaranteed a positive outcome and large numbers?

Thats the problem.  No-one is taking any responsibility for organising it.

Its easy to bang on about it but realistically is everyone just expecting someone else to do it?

I know thats the problem but all over again ppl are going on about protests but who are they realistically expecting to get it organised to get the kind of numbers that would make any effect?

I was there at every protest last year and remain firmly against the current regime and Mikey D but I think even if they were organised we would fail to attract the numbers neccesary to make any kind of impact.

It's not a case of not being interested in the politics its just a feeling at the moment that if we went behind Arkells we would be heckled at by our supporters, if we started chants against the board and Mikey D chances are people would argue with us saying we are causing a negative atmosphere in the ground.

I don't know what the solution is and am still trying to think of ideas that could help but just cant help feeling at the moment protests would have no bearing on the outcome of this takeover.
