Is totally useless. Lots of people keep saying he runs the channels and his workrate is great. Well try it with the ball at your feet and then I/others might be able to judge you as a footballer, or take off the ground when the cross comes over and try heading the bloody thing. Not many played particularly well in the first 55 minutes, but Sturrock was utter shit today and has been all season, we would not have wasted so many balls if he had decided to stay on the bench and we played with 10 men.

to be fair to Blair. He works his bollocks off. You cant blame the guy for signing a new contract admittedly his dad got it for him ofcourse. League 1 is probably a step too far but I think he would be effective off the bench like last season. He certainly shouldnt start games. I have no gripes with Sturrock Jr. He tries his best. I blame his dad for selecting him more than the player himself.

Couldn't win a thing in the air all day -without losing the ball seconds later anyway - which is fair enough, but given the fact that he failed to beat his man on most occassions, what exactly can he do?

to be fair our entire team today couldn't muster a proper chance for our forwards let alone someone who's a building blcok for our attacks!
i fully expect him not to start next gamebut i think it'll be entirely unjust

Ok I'm not anti Blair at all, but, for the love of God can people stop defending players by saying "he works his bollocks off" or "his workrate is superb" as it really doesn't mean anything.
If Paul Sturrock gave me, a 30 year old ex Bromham centre midfielder, a 3 year contract, give me a month to get my fitness levels up and I'll run around the county ground pitch for 90 minutes solid "working my arse off".
Peacock today was doing more work on the edge of our own box than up front (before the substitutions), he's not on the pitch to do that, he's on the pitch to score goals and yet because he does the donkey work the fans seem to love the bloke.

Roberts never had the chance to do anything with the ball, and Pook started to do his one touch sexiness straight to the other team. How McGovern missed that chance i will never know. Fuck it

I would fucking try my best and work hard, as would most people on here, but you don't see me running round like a headless chicken just cos my daddy is the manager! Trying hard is the minimum requirement from every player on that pitch.

Sorry not true. Yes he's a striker so needs to score goals but he's also on the pitch as part of a TEAM. If this means defending then thats a big part of it. If you start with that argument Robbo and Sofe are wingers whose job is to cross the ball so presumably they don't need to track back and help the full backs then?

Blair has played 6 games this season by my reckoning. He has played well once and scored once. this is not good enough, he needs to be dropped.

But the point is PS has often said our strikers aren't in the box enough to get on the end of crosses so by that token Peacock is in totally the wrong place if he's defending his own 18 yard box...
