I'd like to see if we have a bit of money to spend if we can sign Cox on a permanent contract....depends though as I suspect that Reading may want more than £150,000 for him.

I have heard asking price is £100,000 as he is out of contract at the end of the season so at that price he would be a snip and we should at least test the waters to see if he would join us.

Does that mean even if we wanted to, we couldnt even extend his loan spell?

Until the embargo is lifted.
But then again Fitton sounds like he wants to move quickly once the deal is complete.

Chatting to a couple of mates who are Reading fans, apparently word is that Plymouth want Cox now that his loan is pretty much up here.

i reckon he'd be out of our league to purchase.he's deffo championship quality imo, and the fee will be around the lucas, tozer fees i'd think.also i wouldn't be surprised if reading didn't want to part with him anyway

Slightly off topic but Jesus Christ, I didn't realise Cox was only 20!!!!!! Born in 1987!
No wonder why Reading keep giving him 1 year contracts and sending him out on loan as opposed to selling him straight up. Big potential.
