Its a fucking joke, sorry but there are many players that play bad, but pook is a constant scapegoat. I swear people wait for a mistake and wait for the number 19 shirt and then start to heckle, whenever other players make mistakes e.g. jutkiewicz, and believe me yes he was good but he made as many mistakes if not more than pook.

Good post herthab Wink

Same as Roberts, Zaaboub, Peacock as well last season.

If they're not performing what can you expect?

The point is, they're not being given an opportunity to perform before the boo boys begin.

I might inwardly groan if I see a player coming on who's been shite the last few games, but how is booing him gonna improve his game?

It doesnt, it just knocks the player even more and makes the player perform less frequent

Thats absolute bollocks, loads of players get shit from supporters the real test is trying to prove these people wrong. If a player knuckles down and works hard to improve they will become a better player. If a player starts feeling sorry for themself and takes the easy option of hiding then frankly they don't deserve to be a pro footballer.

It tests a players character, if Pook has any he will do his all to prove us wrong, if not he can fuck off to Supermarine......judging by the amount of times he's still out drinking I'll suggest the latter option is the most likely.

You are talking shit.

If a player doesn't perform, boo him.

To boo a player before he plays is pointless, mindless, moronic stupidity.

Does nothing for him, or the team.

Look at Hargreaves, Butt etc for England.......they got shit every game playing for England but they knuckled down and were our best players in WC 2002 and 2006 respectively.
It happens and it is upto the player to prove people wrong if he chooses to go into his shell or underperform as a result he is not fit to be a football player!

he doesn't deserve it no, but at the same time he has to take responsibility for his career. If he decided to concentrate 100% on the football in what is the make or break time of his career rather than being out every weekend drinking people may start to respect him.
As I keep saying its time for him to stand up and be counted, the challenge and opportunity is there whether he has the character to grasp it time will tell!

So the boo boys are booing him to spur him on?

I thought they were just a bunch of fuckwits Cheesy

It's a clever argument though Glos, if he starts to play well, they can take the credit because they gave him so much abuse :?

It's not booing him before he performs. It's booing left over from the last time he played. All 41 games wasn't it ... ?

Some people are just too anally retentive.
