Hoggy's suffering from back spasms and is rated "extremely doubtful" for the first test.

india 4-1 to win. that's a very good bet considering it looks like we'll struggle to bowl them out twice.

no sky from tomorrow afternoon, boo Sad will have to rely on tms whilst unloading vans and shit.

i'm not concerned about the batting whatsoever but without harmison and hoggard it's fair to say we could struggle if we have to rely on panesar and sidebottom. anderson can be too wild and broad is inexperienced.

although i must say that's just my gut feeling about the place. there are probably loads of facts and figures to prove me totally wrong.

we haven't won a test at lords since 2005 when we beat bangladesh by an innings and 261 runs. however, since that match our only loss in four matches came to australia in the 2005 ashes series and the last three matches have ended as draws.

since the turn of the century, starting with a comprehensive innings and 209 run victory over zimbabwe in 2000, we have won 8 out of a possible 15 tests, drawing 4 and losing 3.

Nice copy and paste work!

It'll rain, we'll draw and Vaughan will get a 1st innings duck

Hoggy out for definate - a draw looks a sensible bet - two more mediocre/inexperienced bowling attacks, some decent batting and poor weather forecast.

So an attack of Sidebottom, Anderson, Broad/Tremlett and Pansear. The bowling attack of the ashes 2005 has gone.

at least vaughan won the toss, as Paul Collingwood said: 'I'm a useless tosser'.

tremlett's in ahead of broad, not sure i would have called that one.
