It was a fun evening out. Not much more, football wasn't that interesting.
I did scare Paul Sturrock, that was fun. That was hilarious, his face was a picture

Blimey just goes to show how different people can see the same game differently. I thought Aljofree looked alright after the first ten minutes. Ifil looked good, Vincent and Easton very vocal and very solid. Blair and the other striker in the first half linked up well, Zaboub's final ball was disappointing on too many occasions. Peacock worked hard, Roberts played well.
Second half was a very good display from a young side. Brez looked a little shakey, but that will come, some of the young lads (not sure of their names, 12, 22 for example) played very well, thought SS might try and put them under pressure but they looked a class apart. Gilermo (9) looked good for a target man, nice first touch, right place right time for goals, and he took his chances. Chris Allen looked better than Pook (Allen has only had 1 and a half's day training due to a virus btw), nice footballer, couple of decent runs from deep, nice free kick too. Pook looked a little out of sorts, couple of decent tackles but that was about it. Blackburn looked good enough, expect him to be back up to Ifil/Aljofree at start of season, but will make impression when he gets his chance.
Overall a encouraging start to pre season.

Wonder what our new sponsors made of it all? Friendly in Swindon and we haven't got the new shirt out for them to see and rave about!!

They had a van there in the car park, what more do you want for £20.54 a season

If it been mentioned before apologies but what a superb goal from Rigley - not sure 100% if it was intended but 10/10!

-Ajolfree has a decent left foot - Blaaar sturrock makes good runs but lacks skill when he gets onto the end of them -Thought the minge looked quality at right back. -2nd half no 12 was livley. -Thought the 1st half trialist had more talent than the 2nd half trialist. If he hadnt of scored 2 tap ins i think most people would be slating him.

Duncan Shearer used to do nothing in games then pop up and score the winner. I am in no way comparing portugeezer with Dunc though.

I cannot believe the different opinions. I thought sofi looked good, also roberts! Sturrock is great at runs but get a bloody left foot!
Both new strikers were different but very hard to tell at that standard!
No 12 in the second half was quality and better than shakes. The new right back looked class and could do a job. Both new centre backs were solid.
Pook shouldnt be given a new contract, fuck him off now, shame as hes a local lad but we have much better.

I know what you are saying, but they wernt even good finishes! And I didnt think his contribution to general play was any good. Anyway, its all opinion. I'll be interested to see both of them again againts Ciren assuming Sturrock keeps them on

I thought he had a good touch, liked to get the ball down, was playing in a youthful side. if he played the first half where he could have got the ball down to Roberts, Peacock, Easton, Zaboub (despite he lack of killer ball), he may have looked a lot better. True about his finishes, but they did go in, unlike trialist no.1's efforts (apart from offside attempt).
As for Zaboub his general game was was ok, but his crossing was awful, hit first man on numerous occasions, out for goal kicks on a couple of occasions, well past far post. None were spot on.

Zaa boub did alright, some of his final balls could have been better, but I think Lapham did a good job on him to be fair.
