I wasn't really one who slated Pook last season, but I am from now on.

Last night he was awful, completely non-existent. Allen was easily better than him.

He doesn't look as fit as the rest of the squad either. I suppose going out on the piss every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night during the close season didn't really help him.

As much as i think Pook lacks the ability for league 1, i also think the crowd make him worse with constant  critisism.

Put yourself in his shoes. If you were trying your best at work and were constantly being bullied and harrassed would you perform better???

I dont understand why he doesn't just sign or fuck off! One or the other please Mr Pook. What's the point in sticking around?

Happily for both the general public and me, several thousand people dont pay to watch me work, and essentially pay my wages by doing so.

This makes the situation somewhat different from being bullied and harrased at work

You know what i was trying to get across.

No matter what money you earn or what job you do, constant slagging off will only make the said person worse in my opinion.

Or makes you knuckle down work harder and try to prove people wrong and become a stronger person as a result......however this this doesn't seem the approach he has taken as it would mean sacrificing some nights out.

If you're a professional footballer, which he is, (the lucky, LUCKY bastard!!), surely it's your job to see past the moronic abuse you get from fans and perform nevertheless??
