Nothing has changed, QPR have been willing to sell for a long time but Power wants to be in charge at Swindon NOT QPR, if he wanted QPR he would have gone to court got his £1.2m and gone to QPR.

The bottom line is that he wants to own STFC - and he will not stop until he has acheived that I believe, so let's lighten up and work out how we are going to help Bill achieve this and rid ourselves of this cancerous growth we have.

People appear to have paniced themselves into a frenzy! Pandiani challenged Power to buy him out months ago - nothing happened. Yes, he's a QPR fan but he's also a businessman and it surely isn't great business to return to a previous venture.

Oh Fuck

My first thoughts were that it'll be okay, one of the Trust boys will come on and put our minds at rest. So thanks Fred for those words of comfort, I feel much more at ease with the whole situation.

My thoughts entirely.

OK Fred (or Paul or Rob) let's give it another go.

Say something reassuring......3....2....1.......NOW!

Off you go!

I did several hours ago but no bugger appears to have read it. Rich P is right, people are just getting themselves worked up over a 2+2=5. But to be fair, that's what close season is for. Now, about these Giggs rumours ....

Sorry Andy i'm in a really optimistic mood today. Bill isn't going anywhere, i've got him locked in my basement. The "bill" you lot all know is an animatronic mock up i made shortly after the plane crash. That explains the jerky movements see?

What do you want me to say OST?  I'm not sure I can reassure you on behalf of the Trust board as I'm not part of it.

I can say I think this is bluster by Palladini.

If you ask me to assume it's not then I think Bill would probably still need others involved to get a deal off the ground for QPR.  He would also need to get the issue with the shares/loan sorted to satisfy the FL.  Having said that, if people approached him and a court case was quickly dealt with then I would say it must be tempting for him.  He's certainly passionate about them from what I could gather.

Anyway, the longer this goes on, the further I get from the loop.  Paul would be your man for being on the "inside" these days.  My info largely came from being involved actively before Christmas.

what happens if BP actually does want out of STFC,  because he really wants to be involved in QPR and the football league won't let you be on the board of two clubs ?

The bopard can't afford 1.2million whatever happens.  But with shares they wouldn't have to buy them back off BP unless they wanted to, and BP is stuck with them as he can't even give them away to anyone else (unless they are already on the board) since its a limited company.

If it was a loan and BP called it in, regardless of if there is any realistic chance he would ever get the cash back again, would that be enough for the FL to let him get more involved in QPR ? He wouldn't be on the STFC board, wouldn't have any shares and would just be another creditor.

If correct it would imply a certain level of financial forward thinking (or sheer luck) that i wouldn't really attribute to the fuckwits that run this club, in that they may have just flogged a non-controlling share in a worthless company for 1.2mill, but is it possible ?

even if that was the case, i think i'd find it rather depressing.

Yeah, cos last season was crap, wasn't it?

The board are crap. The board were crap last season and we got promotion.

I'm not saying we'll get promotion this season, but when I go on a Saturday I'm not thinking about the board, I'm thinking about the team.

And before the 'They'll be no team if this board doesn't fuck off' brigade reply, I'm merely trying to put a positive spin on this situation, as I'm getting pissed off with all the doom merchants Wink

One other point. Before BP joined forces with the Consortium, there was still a Consortium, whose aim at the time was to take control of the club. While the loss of BP's million(s) would be a blow, it shouldn't be terminal, if that was the case, what were the Consortium planning on before he joined them?

If Mr Power pulls out then the trust could look for someone else to launch a takeover and put some money into the club, Bill Power pulling out would be a massive blow but it wouldn't be the end of STFC.

fair point Hertha. ive just had enough of it all. and if BP pulls out then i might have to consider not going to games anymore. i just hate this board with a passion. i'm sure the Trust would continue to find a backer but what are the chances of this happening? probably quite slim. more chance of us going bust if BP pulls out. i hate to say it just like you do but it's true

Lets face facts

The board do not want to deal with the Consortium full stop, irrespective of who's money is behind it.

Its more concerned with finding an investor, not a take over bid.

That way there is no due dilligence to be done and their little secrets stay buried once again
