SWINDON TOWN: Corr agrees terms
By Andy Cryer

BARRY Corr has agreed terms on a two-year contract at the County Ground and will sign tomorrow afternoon.

The Irishman made a huge impression while on loan last season and has been snapped up after being released by Sheffield Wednesday.

Great news! We actually have a striker on the books for next season! Can't wait to see who this 'goal machine' Sturrock has promised to find is! Awesome upfront partnership me thinks.

Did I utterly mis read the previous stuff on his injury, or isn't he going to be out for about a quarter of the season (games wise) while his back is fixed?

Great signing, but can't be relying on him really when he may not be in the team until October, and even then he might be stiff for a while.

Exactly.....potentially good signing, but the start to a season is so important, last season got us up, previous season got us relegated.

I worry that we are going to start the season with a toothless attack, probably something like 4-5-1 with Blair Sturrock up on his own.

Well I'm going to credit sturrock with a bit more sense than that for the time being at least.

Maybe he reckons he can do a deal with Everton to get Lukas back here on loan for three months/half season/full season? Lukas himself has mentioned it so I reckon it's something the clubs have discussed.

That would be a very nice little arrangement and would certainly suit all parties concerned.

I'm sure Sturrock is looking to bring in atleast one more good striker so perhaps we would start the season with the new signing up top on their own, or perhaps partnered by Storruck or even Roberts whilst Corr gets fit

Lucas and Sturrock up front. Not good enough for league 1. There has to be another striker coming in. And I'm sure there will be.
