Striker Barry Corr has revealed that he turned down other offers to complete a move to Swindon Town.
Corr has now agreed terms to join Paul Sturrock's squad for the League One season and he spoke to the local media on Friday afternoon about the move.
"When I was back in Ireland my agent was ringing me to say that other clubs were interested in me. I didn't want to be disloyal so I told them I was only interested in Swindon Town. Paul Sturrock had shown faith in me and Swindon was always my first choice.

"When I left Sheffield Wednesday on loan I knew I wasn't in their plans and that I would have to find a new club in the summer. I have a lot of respect for Paul Sturrock and his team and Swindon are an ambitious club. The stadium is nice, the fanbase is there and the aim is to get into the Championship.
The Irishman is now fully focused on completing his rehabilitation from a back injury, and although he is set to miss the start of the campaign, he cannot wait for the big kick-off.
"I am really delighted to have things sorted and I am looking forward to the start of next season. I am working with a specialist at the local hospital and with Dick Mackey, who has been superb with me.
"The fans were fantastic last term too and I am sure they will be excited ahead of the new campaign. For me personally I'm going to get my head down and get my fitness sorted."
