Was a radio phone in today on talksport about Hughes.
He was drugged up and pissed, hit another car, killing one occupant (Another one died of her injuries after a year) and left the driver in a wheelchair for the rest of their life.
He then did a runner and hid for 38 hours.
Was sentenced to 6 years, will serve 3.
And walk into a job that pays around 80 grand a year.
Well done Oldham..........................................

Im not sure of the ins and outs, but 3 years is a small sentance for taking someone elses life. I think he will receive massive amounts of abuse. I wonder how the family of the victim will react to this?

Thanks for that. After seeing that I agree. I always liked him as a player but he should never be allowed to play again. He should still be inside!!! I for one will give him abuse next season! Shocking!

Well done Oldham.......................................... He wasn't drugged up or pissed. He was just driving like a prick. Turned himself in the next day. Ok, it wasn't 38 hours. It was 36. Which is how long he needed to help the alcohol and drugs through his system. He was pissed up and he had taken drugs. If him doing a runner isn't testament enough, it was also widely acknowledged during the court case. |
