Incidentally if they put a Warship class diesel hydraulic at the top of the badge.....then they could have a red one, well at least maroon....Swindon built in the 50's Indeed they were. Good spot. Although I never got to see a Warship on the ex-GW main line. Only shedloads of Westerns. They were great. There used to be one in the Bury Transport Museum a few years back...assuming its still there could be worth a look on Saturday. I think there's a Warship or two on the West Somerset? Ahhh the West Somerset....what a fine day out.....the simulator thing in Steam had (couple of years ago) a footplate view of the West Somerset going into Stogumber...ace. |

I have a vague recall of one of the first swindon built Westens being liveried in white. There must be a site somewhere for listening to railway sounds on the net |
