Maverick are you happy that in the best case scenario the transfer money will be used to pay off the cva?

Si Pi, why is that the best case scenario? As you said earlier, perhaps the best case scenario would be if the club is sold to somebody else - somebody with a vision for the club and a passion for football.
now you are getting it!

sam_stfc why wouldn't it be? Of course it is and I would suggest the same can be said of at least 99% of fans.

si pi - I would far rather the money was spent on investing in a squad for next season, but right now that is not wher we are. As long as we have the present Board then they will have their own way of dealing with things. Much as that angers most right-minded fans (oh and left-minded to include Paul D!  Tongue ).

I don't think anyone should sit and accept the Board's actions just because it's where we are.

The club have stated they wanted someone to come in and buy the club - only if they have the financial clout and it will also prove for the good of the club. The evidence thus far shows that the good of the club would have been better served by selling to the Consortium.

Si Pi - I have no idea what has happened between them all, or what still is perhaps. But as you have said elsewhere it seems clear that they have no desire to sell to the Consortium. So we have to cling to the vain hope that someone else comes along (unless we are still to believe that someone else has!). I cannot see why they should listen or need to listen to protests or anything else ............................. for now.

I would have thought as an independent Councillor you'd stick up more for what you believe in. If you want the Board to sell to someone you should let them know.

I fail to see why after 3 months in the role, Bowden has failed to get any outline plans drawn up instead of his painting pictures with words at resi-meetings. So far, from what i have seen of the bloke,he is all feckin talk.
I would not mind, but his belittleing  of the "fatally Flawed" trust outline plans(put together in a sympathetic manor and in consultation with those who live in and around the cgh)may have alienated the club further from the residential groups that they need on-side.

The blokes a plonker.

That's quite a big assumption, newmarket, they got the thick end of a million and a half quid in last summer and still didn't manage to pay a £100k CVA installment. What makes you think they're any more likely to pay 900k this summer?

funny that, as I would have thought as an independent Councillor he'd sit on the fence and have no opinion of his own, other than the opposite of everyone elses opinions.

Maverick you are a funny little man

And even if they tell us they have, would you believe them?

Without seeing up to date and accurate accounts, I bloody well wouldn't.

Thank fuck I'm off my antibiotics and I can drink again, I fucking need it after reading all this shit today.

 and that doesn't sum it up enough tbh.
