If true, they get to take £750,000 out of the club from Lukas sale?!
Come May they will get the play off or promotion money out
Come June they will get season ticket money?!
Come start of July they will sell to the consortium and get the offered money out???
Do you honestly believe all the above mentioned money will go back into the club?
...................................................................................................
Consortium come in and have to clear the CVA, then have no cash from promotion or season tickets. This board are in a win win situation and anyone believing otherwise are fools.

I would hope.....really really really hope the board have enough sense to use the Lukas money for part of the final CVA payment.
but nothing will surprise me, least of all what you've just said Ash!

Well that's it for the consortium now then, the club will pay the CVA, all the fence sitters and board patsy's will be over the moon and the board will tell the consortium to fuck off.
I bet Bob Holt's creaming himself right now. Cunt.

Even if they do pay the CVA, it wouldn't surprise me if we still made losses as big as we do at the moment.
Why change the habit of a lifetime?

The CVA is just one of many issues - yes at the moment it's the most immediate but even if they turn round and pay it in full on the nose in June, it won't make a whit of difference to the long-term decline of the club they have presided over, the continual deceit of fans/shareholders, the lack of any real business plan/sense for the future, the total lack of transparency, the unexplained losses, the inadequate accounts, the succession of shady characters/incompetents brought in to preside over the ru(i)nning of the club, the fact I've got more chance of growing a womb than the board have of ever getting a ground redev going etc etc.
The Fans Consortium is about much more than the CVA - it's about having a properly run club, transparency and confidence in the way its being run, a stable platform to build on, unity between fans club and community for the first time in years, and some genuine hope for the future instead of bullshit and lies.

IF this goes through and we're still in a position where we have lost a major amount of money AGAIN! then that will be the final straw for me. If i'm honest Lucas has always looked kanckered after 1 mins, hardly going to be fit for the prem is he. I would hope we put in a % of next sale clause that way wherever he goes theres more £££ coming our way.
Is lucas ( 32 apps 3 goals for swindon) really worth:
2.5 Rory Fallons (89 apps 25 goals for swindon) 1.67 Sam Parkins (142 apps 73 goals for swindon)

"the total lack of transparency"
which we have been told there will be no more of. M Bowden 10/03/2007.
Wednesday 15 March 2007. "The fee is unlikely to be made public" (words to that effect).

Yes, he is. If Fallon's championship standard than Lukas is premiership class.
With top rate service Lukas could be a great find. He's only struggling cos our team create next to nothing.

And this from the board which came in with the immortal line,'More money than you can shake a stick at.'
They should've change it to, 'We will lose more money than you can shake a stick at' !!

The transfer fee isnt just about the player, more so the contract

I bet Bob Holt's creaming himself right now. Cunt. I dont think it will happen like that at all. Fence sitters arnt going to be impressed by selling our best young player for ages to pay the CVA which could have been p[aid by power and kept Lukas. I still think that the deal on its own is good value if the £750k + add ons is accurate.

Well we all thought Parkin was the business when he was one of us, then look where he's ended up. Granted he was unlucky with injury setbacks and the like.
I just think we're guilty of believing our own hype in that Lucas is class just yet, theres no doubt that in time with the correct guidance he could do somethin special, i just dont think hes any better than anything else we have at the moment.
