Poor game, we worked hard and deserved the victory, but mainly because Stanley were no threat whatsoever. They seemed happy enough to settle for a 2-0 defeat, they remained at 4-4-2 for the entire 90 minutes :? Something tells me they have a points deduction on the way..... and they can only have had 50 fans there, pathetic when you consider we took over 800.
We played ok, nothing to write home about, but it was the result that was the important thing. Hopefully, we can use this as a springboard to better things, because we're going to need to play much better to get promotion.
Nicho was my MOTM, but Sharon Brown was excellent, a constant threat with his set pieces and Lee P was workman-like as ever. Worries me that we have to rely on our left and rights backs to score our goals..... but meh! 3 points and back into 3rd

Stanley never really caused us any threat in the whole 90 minutes, and are probably the worse team i've seen at the CG all season. Peacock did well, sharon done good, and timlin had an ok game. IN all honesty, we won without really breaking a sweat. Stanley were time-wasting right from the off though, which was a bit wierd. seems as if the sponge and spray has now been replaced, by the magic tea towel. There was a bit of argy bargy at the end apparently, some fat bloke running up to one of the chavs at the front of the TE and telling them were to shove it. Wish i had seen it

Accrington Stanley were awful today, the worst team ive seen play footy in ages.
Saying that, we played equally bad. We had so much possesion, yet we seemed to play too much hoofball which got us no where. We only looked like scoring from set pieces.
Man of the match defo goes to Peacock, as he once again ran his heart out, and was the only player who looked hungry and up for the match

An important 3 points, if we can get 4 from the next two games we'll be well on the way. Blimp looked good...shame it was yellow rather than orange but it got the message across nonetheless.

We couldn't find enough matches for our poker game in the CGH, then someone had to play pool and we moved and couldn't be arsed any more.

Very easy game. Town did all they had to do to win and it was clear Accrington weren't going to score so town didn't really need to press the game much after the 2nd goal went in

I agree. Thought the crowd were good considering how poor the opposition was. Pressed urgency without getting on their backs. Accrington are non league. End of story.
