I rated Smith. We could certainly do with a few of his goals from midfield right now that's for sure.
What does it matter if a player is crap in training as long as he is doing the business on the pitch??? :shock:

He was alright, good I thought, but he was never "that" good to be shit in training and waltz into the first team. A player like Parkin could afford that liability, but not a "worker" like Smith.

If he was still a town player now, 'Grunt' Smith would be in his element in the blood and thunder that is league 2 football. I suspect he would have spent most of his time on the sidelines through suspension tho.....  |

I also heard he was not a good trainer, but he done well most of the time for us and was able to put some good crosses in the box and score from midfield.
Hmm maybe someone should tip Sturrock off that Smith maybe a decent loan signing, and of course he would have something to prove here after the way he left.
