I went to Somerset House about 3 years ago for a gig, doesn't hold too many so a decent place for an outdoor gig.

I was supposed to see Queens of the Stone Age at Somerset House on July 7 2005 but it was cancelled due the terrorist attacks. That cancellation was irrelevant on what was a mental day.

Off shortly to this day festival in Luxembourg. Looking forward to seeing Jimmy Eat World, Elbow, Wombats, Arctic Monkeys and Arcade Fire.

T in the Park coming up soon as well which should be good if I can put up with the Neds!

Arcade fire were epic. Possibly one of the best live performances I have seen. Elbow were very good also. Arctic Monkeys were below par for me, disappointing from them.

Let the Games Begin also played in Devizes tonight - a night down the pub for a mates birthday was much better than expected - the quality on this clip isn't very good - they are from Swindon apparently - any of you seen them?

Back in '06 I spent an afternoon keeping my friends company in a queue for Arctic Monkeys tickets on a cold day in Plymouth.

I ordered a Dominoes pizza and had it delivered to me in the queue. Ah the envy on the shivering faces of the Devon youth.

Off to the scene of my first ever gig (Simple Minds in 1985) to see Tame Impala, Death Cab For Cutie, Biffy and Foo Fighters today.  Got the wife the 4 year old and the 7 year old with me.  My kids dont realise how cool they are.

The promoters have built the foos old english pub called the olde fighters arms backstage which I shall be frequenting.

I was at that Simple Minds Gig in 85; although i'm sure it was 86 thinking about it, U2 played the Bowl in 85.

And i'm off to see the Foos tomorrow; they were on form at the IOW festival 3 weeks ago.
