Went to see Tom Stade at the Arts Centre last night. I seriously needed a laugh after yesterdays result and he didn't disappoint, even the warm up (some Aussie called Ro Campbell) was good. Well recommended.

Also off to see Chapel Club at The Thekla (Brizzle) week after next. Interested in seeing the venue almost as much as the group.

It's not that special. Once you're inside it's just like a generic hall

Saw Chapel Club at the Thekla (Brizzle) last night. Band were very good. I liked the venue, felt like being in the depths of a boat(which it is) rather than a generic hall to me. But then I was stood near a porthole.

The Joy Formidable were very, very good indeed - I think they will be very big. They were supported very ably by The Chapman Family - good night. It was the first time I have been to The Old Fire Station in Bournemouth - decent venue, woth very cute barmaids.

saw a guy/band called the Agitator a week or so a go, well worth a listen, especially if you are into a bit of punk. Its just a singer and 2 drummers, quite an original sound

Band called 'The Pains of being pure at heart' are playing at a venue 10 minutes walk from me for 12 Euro.

Anyone know if they are any cop?
