Going to see The Fall at Leamington Assembly in early Feb.

I know they were a favourite of Peel and have been a persistent musical oddity, but I've never really listened to them properly. Heading along out of curiosity as they are local to me.

Anyone ever seen them?

Watched Stormzy perform an impromptu free gig in Croydon earlier which he announced an hour before.

As the youth would say 'flames' and 'scenes'

I've seen them a few times over the years, unfortunately I was too young to have seen them in their Punk,Bingo Masters breakout era glory
Mainly festivals,Reading,Glastonbury etc
Best one was at the Hub in Bath early 90's,for some reason Mark E Smith chose to stare intensely at me whilst singing for about 5 songs, till I got freaked out and moved!

They're one of those bands that shouldn't work, but do somehow

If you're into Trout Mask Replica era Beefheart, then I'm sure you'll like them

Edit: just noticed the date of your post  Doh

Hope you had a good time!

Bet that was decent.

I'm going to see Dusky supported by Mella Dee at the O2 in Oxford tonight.

You can tell I have hit middle age -

Elbow at Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday night. Brilliant
Seth Lakeman at Cadogan Hall last night. Brilliant.

Peter Hook and the Light last night, both Joy Division and New Order Substance albums. 31 songs, £22.50, can't beat it for value..

Gloucester Guildhall, small venue, enjoyed it. The crowd wasn't as lively as I thought it might though. We are all old farts I suppose.

De La Soul tonight.

Wow, where?

Have to say, I've seen them twice and they were moody and rude both times. The second one, they were charging £30/£35 for a ticket to some weird echoey hall in Kings Cross, then complained that the crowd was a "bunch of jimminy cricket motherfuckers". Perhaps re-evaluated your pricing if you want young, hip kids to come rather than a bunch of 30+ white people (their largest demographic of fans, in the UK at least). Sure they'll be great tonight.

I have a ticket going for the XX at Brixton tonight, if anyone wants to buy it off me.

True Story #1:

One of the members of Idles went to my wedding as he is going out with my wife's cousin.

True Story #2:

That person replaced a guy who was an usher at a wedding for which I was the best man.

These facts are nothing but a coincidence too.
