Did you do the Saga trip to Gillingham a few years ago?
I most certainly did. Also Brighton and Soton. Happy days.

Explosions in the Sky and PJ Harvey was decent at Brixton Academy, for me I think I enjoyed PJ Harvey more.
Saw Silversun Pickups last night at Camden's Electric Ballroom, first time at this venue, was very impressed and a good gig also.

Do i love them enough to go to Leeds? I think I do..
Saw Pixies in Brixton tonight. A thing of beauty. If you are going to Leeds, enjoy.

Last gig of the year tonight. New Model Army in Kentish Town. An annual event and usually a great show.

After 35 years of studiously avoiding success (theme emerging here), I went to my first stadium gig last night. Ibrahim Maalouf at Bercy with 16000 others. Has the Franco-Lebanese trumpet-keyboard maestro crossed the Channel yet, or is the continent still obscured by fog?

Dingy. Cramped. Tiny, very low stage. Sometimes difficult to see.
Perfect for certain things crappy for a lot of others.

Bristol is spoilt for choice I reckon.
Agree that there are better places than Thekla but its different and also had good nights there (Delphic was a particularly stand out gig).
