By way of some contrast, last week I saw Irish folk legend Christy Moore for the first time in ages.  Quietly blistering, gently humorous and in these times especially, ever contemporary - two intense, magnificent hours flew by.

Didn't they play a rather lively gig at the Monkey Club back in the day?

Yes ,  and in more recent times, ,at The Furnace.
Had a ticket but stayed in the Rolleston, was a long day after the Saga trip to the other STFC.
Ian Doeser ole matey out of Ode and the Bebops and some old git played a rather good gig.
Happy days

Saw them play the oasis in about 1980, one of my first ever gigs. On reflection, with the exception if the kids are United, and hurry up Harry,  they were shit!
