I know I've recommended them before but The Bowie Experience are playing at The Vic tonight - a fantastic tribute to the recently departed David Bowie. Tickets are £8 on the door.

Yeah they are good. I'm off to see ELO next month. Along with the Bowie experience the only tribute band I've seen was an ELO clone. Unfortunately I wont get to see the real Bowie.

Primal Scream in London tomorrow (preceded by a pub crawl). Always put on a good show. New album is a change of direction but will probably grow on me.

Four night residency in London by The Fall from tomorrow. "Always different, always the same" as described by John Peel.
So, opportunity taken for a four day, beer based residency in London. Watching a mosh pit "of a certain age" in action is good.

Where is that Bob? Off to see Radical Face in Camden on Tuesday, very much a laid back affair I guess.

The Primal Scream one was London Palladium on 1st April. The Fall are at The Garage, just over the road from Highbury & Islington tube station. Decent venue.

Very good. Played about 4 songs from the new album. The rest were the usual crowd pleasers from back catalogue. Think I preferred them when they had more guitarists, down to just the one now with a more synth based sound.

Just got back to hotel. First support weren't too bad. Didn't think much of the second one. The Fall were on form, but easier to appreciate them after a few beers first!

I saw thw Fall a couple of years ago, I thought they could be the worst act I have ever seen live, Mark Smith seemed like a lost child on stage and not bothered about anything, wasn't even livened up when Johnny Rotten made a guest appearance. I won't ever watch them again.
