See I dont get that
All i get when I watch him is rage
He cracks me up, I saw him on question time a couple of months back and he wiped the floor with them. Each to their own though,I know some people laugh at Harry Hill, I think he's just a twat, ditto Lee Evans.

So fellow TEF'ers, here is my dilemma. I have 2 tickets to see Jake Bugg at the oasis in October. One is for my daughter who is fifteen and I don't know what to do with the other one. Do I let her go with one of her mate or do I go with her and risk the embarrassment of being the oldest bloke there among a load of trendies, (I'm 48). I think she'd probably prefer to go with her mate but would be too polite to say so. Thing is, I like his music and think he's gonna be massive one day. Thoughts please.

Same gig, had a similar question...but went with ticket for me, and ticket for mate solution (and obviously ticket for daughter, if that sounded a little suspect). Everyone's a winner.

Although as I'm only 44 there's no way I'll be hanging out at the back near any decrepit 48 year old codgers.

Sean Lock, I've wanted to see him ever since 15 Storeys High debuted. Got tickets for my Dad's birthday to see him in November. Gave up buying material presents for the old man as he always left them for years before opening the box, so now I just get experience-type things that really I probably want to go to more than him.

Sean Lock is brilliant live and a really nice bloke, I had a chat to him about Glenn Hoddle when I met him in Edinburgh a few years back he loves his football does Sean, big Chelski fan.

Go and see him. I'm older than you and was most impressed when I saw hime last year and he is always on Radio6 so must have a bit of Kudos. Get pissed and embarrass your daughter by being one of the "Over 40's must be accompanied by a child"

Nobody genuinely 'trendy' would be at a Jake Bugg gig! Maybe trendy 16 year olds. Though from the little I have heard, his music is good. What does your daughter want to do? If she doesn't mind you coming along go for it, if she'd rather go with a friend then let her do that - she'll enjoy it more with a mate most probably.

Give them the tickets and sit in the nearest pub, and wait for them. win-win.

Enjoying a mate's gig last night, and Greg Davies was in the crowd...had a quick chat, nice bloke, but really absurdly tall.
