Never heard of them before, but just run a few tracks on Youtube. Excellent stuff, i'll get the album. On the flip side, my mrs just shouted down the stairs asking why i'm working on an angle grinder at this time of night! Then again she likes x factor the heathen.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED) at the Bullingdon in Oxford tomorrow. You may know his music from the Nokia ads. Not the best quality video here, but worth it for 0:52

I was in a happy place after bobs recommnedation, but honestly, what the hell was that. Sounds like someone has stuck a microphone into the bogs into O'neills in sutton on karaoke night.

Hahah, each to their own and all that. Are you over 30?
And Bob's tips sound like every other bit of guitar music made in the last 15 years.

Yeah got me there, I am. I've varied tastes though, but that was not my cup of tea at all. The only similar to bobs recently was Glasvegas and that sounds like their 2nd album should of...

i watched Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs at Bestival and their set was fantastic. One of the better electro groups out there. Have you checked out Feed Me, Oxford? Well worth it if your into your dance.

Not a big fan of electro - coming from listening to lots of jungle and D&B there's not enough punch for me.
What I have got into lately are people like Jamie XX, Julio Bashmore, Joy Orbison, Ramadanman/Pearson Sound, Mele, Redlight, TEED, Rustie, Hudson Mohawke, who are making some very exciting dance music.

i do agree with the punch, if there is no real heavy bassline im not that interested. There is no one from your list i dislike. Redlight is one of my favourite DJ's at the moment, his sets are jump up dup/DnB which at a big club are great. I would add Netsky, koan sound, brookes bros, Krafty Kuts, Bassline Smith, kamo and crooked and Jaguar skills all for their live sets.

Yep Redlight is one of my faves, Source 16 and Progress are crazy. Would like to see him do his Roller Express show with Toddla T, at a big club like fabric.
I need to give Koan Sound a listen, a couple of people have recommended.
I'm not so keen on the Hospital artists any more, after going to a Hospitality night at Brixton before Christmas which was hands down the worst night I've ever been too - the music they played sounded like happy hardcore and we struggled to find any drum and bass. Left after two hours. Not that impressed with the stuff from High Contrast's new album that I've heard either, and I used to love his music. Netsky's album is a goodun though.

I rate Skream. He's put out a bit of trash and I'm not into his mindless stuff but Midnight Request Line, his first album, and Burnin' Up are brilliant, and Out The Box was decent too. Genuinely decent bloke too, he was booked for a student night in Norwich when he was still unknown, and came to my mates house party after.
I'm driving across America for 2 months from July 26th, then heading to Peru, so won't be able to do any festivals over here. Hoping to see some decent music and British DJs whilst we're over there though. You going to any festivals?
Glade looks decent actually, and I think I can make that one. Booked up for Field Day in Victoria Park too, Rustie, SBTRKT, Zomby, Bashmore, and Hudson Mohawke are all playing.
