The venue itself is meant to look ok, shame the owners cant run it and have lost a rediculous amount of money since opening.

From what I've been told, the owner doesn't like paying out for workman where he can help it and looks to do most things himself, which in turn means it either doesn't get done or takes an age to do.

Apparently it's not a bad venue, but they have yet to put anything vaguely decent on, so i can't judge for myself.
Didn't think it was too bad, fine for a seated concert but not sure regarding standing one. Doesn't have a sloping floor ala Brixton/Shepherds Bush O2's therefore if you get a giraffe standing in front of you then you won't see much. Also agree not much been on yet to get excited about.
Saw Kasabian at O2 dome last night, excellent gig.

Off to see the Manics at the O2 tonight, they're playing all 38 of their singles as a one off gig (not in order thankfully)....

Me too, finally gave up this morning on the idea that I could make it from the CG on time for the early kick off at the O2.

If any of the metalheads among you want to make an evening of it after the game on 4th Feb, Malefice are playing at the Furnace. Support by acts with local links - I Defy, Kinasis (who I have seen and they are great) and Deliverance (a bit doom for my taste but they certainly give it their all).

Was thinking of going to Big Chill this year but have seen it's been cancelled.
Have been to Latitude last 2 years and enjoyed that but can't be bothered with the trek to deepest Suffolk again.
Any ideas for good festivals for the Summer that offer decent music and ideally some other stuff too e.g. comedy?
