I like them too Beth Ditto has an amazing voice.Haven't got the album yet though. The fact that Leggett dislikes them just confirms they are a good band  |

Tried this today. The lead singer has a very strong and pleasant voice. The first couple of tracks sounded promising, but I felt that the songs overall were pretty weak. The album as a whole sounded like 'pub rock' demos to me. However, this was all on first listening. Will give it another try at some point.

Bloc Party - A Weekend In The City
(Tried 1st 2 tracks. Not as good as Silent Alarm so far)

(Not impressed with title track)
Cooper Temple Clause - Make This Your Own
(Not heard enough to have an opinion yet)
The Good The Bad & The Queen - The Good The Bad & The Queen
(Not a Daman Alban fan. Sounds a bit better on 2nd listen)

NMH I've just scan listened to the rest of the album - Christ its awful ! Underwater (You & Me) is the only other listenable song. The rest is weird shite imho ! NMH |
