Why did the board not put the 'He can't play against his old club' clause in the contract. Hartlepool are promotion rivals!!

Because we're not cowardly, that clause was relatively rare but Bristol City slap it on most of their deals - if we think he's not good enough for STFC then let him play... You fear sods law, if he scores against us, he scores against us. So be it.

The way Hartlepool are playing we'll struggle anyway!

We'll beat Hartlepool, our record against the top sides is very good.

it is. We have only lost to lincoln. Out of the top sides. But monkhouse has not lost a game he has played in this season. 22 games.

Any team wants to play a weakened side. I beleive that without Monkhouse, they are weaker.

Back-in-the-day we didn't have these clauses (and that wasn't that long ago) - It shows fear and Sturrock isn't that kind of manager. He will tell Zaaboub to go out and show why he's been brought in to replace Monky and will hopefully make him look totally inferior.

It's done now so there's no point bemoaning it. He's due an injury anyway  Cheesy
