i think the "fans" yesterday were awful, some of them were "swearing" and some of them were "drunk". thank god the "stewards" came racing back to stop "the" trouble.

i hate it so much when people put the word fans in inverted commas as if they're superior to other matchgoers...

infact it makes me cringe.
how can anyone judge who's a fan and who isn't? especially from another team?

the way i see it, the bit of drama in the arkells all added to the match. it's a local derby for christ's sake get over it.

the away game will be rank though, can't wait.

Anyone who uses the phrase 'fans' or "fans" or 'so called fans' are quite frankly in denial.

Until you know someone one on one you cant make a judgement on anyone.

In the sands of time there are probably been Swindon fans who have murdered people. Swindon fans who have done the most henious of crimes. But you cant say that doesnt make them a Swindon fan. Last time I checked you didnt have to be ordained a saint to get a season ticket.

People who use the terms 'fans' to describe trouble at football matches are whores to the media and mouthpieces of the idiot culture that labels someone as this or that without ever using their own brains. Doesnt make chucking chairs right. But it does make those who condemn them look like utter fools.

I didn't use 'fans', or "fans",

I think I called them twats........

I don't give a fuck if they want to act like that, anywhere other than in the ground doesn't mean much to me (Unless it's outside my house!)

All I'm concerned about is how it affects the club.

Ok, it was an isolated incident and I don't want to make it bigger than it was, but:

Can we afford a fine?

How will it look to potential investors, or sponsors?

Will it be detrimental to attendances?

I'm not saying any of the above will be affected, I'm just speculating........

Thats why I responded to Strood's post and not yours.

As for all the financial bollocks. Couldnt give a shite. While weve got the Newbury leach ripping off the club I really couldnt give a shit.

As for the twats comment. Fair enough. I certainly wouldnt lob a chair into another set of supporters.

From my viewpoint

Firstly - had a run in before the game - with a bunch of Rovers louts .. who were pushing and barging past anyone that got in their way - the police just stood there and watched it - and did NOTHING! For a start they shoudnt have been allowed in

Secondly - saw the seats being thrown over in the Arkells - Rovers started it by chucking the first seat - i guess Swindon supporters found it hard NOT to react - but shouldnt have thrown the seats back at them

Thirdly - Rovers were kept in the Arkells but supporters on the Stratton Bank were let out - meaning I had ANOTHER RUN IN - with the Rovers idiots at the end of the game on my way back to the car

OVERALL - POORLY POLICED - probably as the club didnt want to pay a large policing bill - there simply werent enough of them

I blame Starmes for the whole thing - more police were needed and now the club will get a larger fine as a result

Another example of why this board needs to go

How can they announce that they will be keeping the Rovers fans in at the end of the game and then let the fuckers out of the Stratton Bank?

There was skirmishes around Sussex square after the match. A few cars belonging to rovers fans had parked there also, There was quite a few mini chavs hanging around and taunting so inevitably fisti cuffs prevailed.

I saw the group of Millwall near Regents Circus, they were being escorted down to the station, they'd been in the Merlin just before the game finished, I'm not sure whether the OB had them under control mind!

We all knew there was going to be a bit of trouble. Although the outcome was alot worse than I thought  :?  I guess thats football really. Obviously the people that took part in the chair throwing are complete dickheads, selfish and stupid. Get a grip. Your not an extra in fucking greenstreet now. What a disgrace. Both sets of fans were as bad as one another with all that stuff.
Anyway we showed them up on the pitch and thats the main thing.
