i hate it so much when people put the word fans in inverted commas as if they're superior to other matchgoers...
infact it makes me cringe.
how can anyone judge who's a fan and who isn't? especially from another team?
the way i see it, the bit of drama in the arkells all added to the match. it's a local derby for christ's sake get over it.
the away game will be rank though, can't wait.
Anyone who uses the phrase 'fans' or "fans" or 'so called fans' are quite frankly in denial.
Until you know someone one on one you cant make a judgement on anyone.
In the sands of time there are probably been Swindon fans who have murdered people. Swindon fans who have done the most henious of crimes. But you cant say that doesnt make them a Swindon fan. Last time I checked you didnt have to be ordained a saint to get a season ticket.
People who use the terms 'fans' to describe trouble at football matches are whores to the media and mouthpieces of the idiot culture that labels someone as this or that without ever using their own brains. Doesnt make chucking chairs right. But it does make those who condemn them look like utter fools.
I didn't use 'fans', or "fans",
I think I called them twats........
I don't give a fuck if they want to act like that, anywhere other than in the ground doesn't mean much to me (Unless it's outside my house!)
All I'm concerned about is how it affects the club.
Ok, it was an isolated incident and I don't want to make it bigger than it was, but:
Can we afford a fine?
How will it look to potential investors, or sponsors?
Will it be detrimental to attendances?
I'm not saying any of the above will be affected, I'm just speculating........
