Anyone think these would be any good? They use the equivalent of 12 hours worth of chemical reaction in normal glow sticks in 5 minutes.
Apparently they are used by the US military as a substitute for flares.

I feel the need to buy one, even if not for the Orange Revolution.  Shouldn't be a problem in using them.

Well it's a box of 10, if enough of us happy clappers sit near each other I reckon we could have the orange goodness for a whole half (when it gets dark). Or probably better still 2 smaller groups in different parts of the ground.

If they work anywhere near as good as I've read on the net then they should be fucking bright, especially for the first min.

Fucking ACE!!!

These sticks last 5 minutes so would need to be planned so they all went off at the same time - say when the ref blows his whistle to start the game - we would then have a 5 minute peaceful protest that the board could clearly see without affecting the game itself.

You could buy them and sell them at 2 for £3 with a small printed leaflet - this way people get the message without you guys having to lose your money and more people can join in

I'll buy some now, I reckon they'll be here in time for the Wycombe game. I doubt the board will have responded by then anyway. Anyone else in? We'll have to get a few people in on the action for it to work? Where are them L&P happy clappers?

Um, L&P's constitution precludes any direct political action. It's not what it's about.

Not to say that there isn't more than one way to skin a cat though.  All of the L&P mob are individuals as well. Wink

I just thought it might be their kind of thing, making a fuss and drawing attention to themselves.

I think we should avoid actual cat-skinning during the game. While I can appreciate it's a dramatic protest, it is quite cruel and the yowling may put the players off.
