p smith  10  - aaaaaace kit
j smith  7.5 - guy behind me hated him but he took the ball fowards and linked well with ricky
nicho 7 - took ball forwards, no real idea once he got there though
williams 8 - just did well dealing with what bury er threw at us (nothing)
jerel 8 - same as above
ricky 8- ace second half, their left back didn't look comfy around him
brown 6.5 - didn't do too much
timlin 6.5 - nice touches but midfield didn't get into it
weston 7 - took ball forwards, tried to link to strikers well
peacock 6 - needs to fucking stay on his fucking feet OR dive and fucking dish some out, defenders cannot be scared of him at all.
roberts 7- made two goals but i think he tries too much again, i'd rather see him closer to the box

lukas 5 - no clue

ref 2 - shite.

all in all we won, bury gave nothing other than set pieces. we need to work on strikers and midfielders working together.

Timlin was ace, good first debut from him. You forgot Zaboub as well, he played ace for the maount of time he was on.

Smith - 6 - Generally solid, few punches made me panic

Smith - 6 - Not his best game, got caught in posession too many times and too many wayward passes for my liking

Ifil - 6 - Typical Ifil really, a few too many hoofs though

Williams - 6 - Mr. Reliable

Nicholas - 6 - Offered us alot going forward, generally sold in defence. At fault for their goal though, should have let that bloke turn him on the byline, although in his defence the guy did go off the pitch in order to get past!

Shakes - 7 - Thought he played well today  Shocked some good passes, some good crosses, the token shit cross. At one stage he started dancing and their left back fell over!

Weston - 7- Played well, got stuck in....for the most part good taking the ball forward. Caught in possesion a few times. Picks up more yellow cards than Gurney

Timlin - 6 - Took a while to get in the game, lots of over hit long balls. Grew as the game went on.

Brown - 6 - Bit more effort than usual, clear to see towards the end he was feeling it a bit. Decent set pieces.

Peacock - 6 - Worked hard, didnt get alot. Went down easier than birdy (please dont hurt me!)

Roberts - 7 - Certainly played the whole game for a change, didnt really go missing. Some nice work and touches. Well taken goal and did well for the 2nd

---

Jutkiewicz - Was sitting too deep, dunno if he was told to play the Peacock role or not. If we wanted one of our strikers to play the Peacock role....then why not use Peacock?!

Zaboub - Loooked pretty good in the short time he was on. Good one two with Roberts for the goal

The Cock got about 3 in my opinion, he was awfull today and did not even look at luggy when he was substituted. I would not be surprised to see him off in the jan window.

Nicho at fault for goal?  Personally I felt Smith should have dealt with the cross not stay on his line.

It started with him trying to see the ball out and not dealing with it. Their bloke turned him and put in a cross in which Smith tipped over the bar.

If Nicholas has just booted it out for a throw in to start with....

Ok so Nicho gave away the corner, not the goal. Smith should have dealt with the cross with ease.

they should have learned from the corner before the one that led to the goal.
collective mistake imo

It was the first time I've seen this team and it wasn't great.

I thought that the full backs both played well, but couldn't see their goal very well from the Town End. Smith and Nicholas both sowed flashes of class and were head and shoulders above the rest of the team for me.

Ifil still looks as bad as he used to be (although he did look like he'd picked up a knock in the second half) and makes terrible decisions.

The midfield two I thought were pretty bad. Weston showed some of what hes capable of with some surging runs and neat interceptions, but gave the ball away far too much. Timlin I thought was rubbish. Never close enough to the play and very sloppy. He was either too near to Weston and getting in his way, or too far away and not giing him the option to get out of trouble.

Shakes and Brown did well, Shakes especially troubled their full-back, but I see his final ball hasn't improved in the last 3 years. Brown's set piece delivery was actually fairly good.

The front two just don't look like a pair. Roberts was lazy and selfish. Didn't run off the ball and when he was given it he tried to be too clever or do it all himself. Scored a good second goal after a good run, but for the most part was uninterested.

I hope that that was a poor performance for the team, as they were rubbish but for about 10 minutes in the first half and 15 minutes in the second. The goals were very good, and both came about thanks to just playing it simple, on the ground and moving into space. Great little step-over from Peacock for the first.

Overall, a poor performance but a good win. If they just keep it simple and start bloody moving off the ball then we'll be much better. Stop this rubbish chipping it up in the air and learn to clear the bastard ball. They just can't clear their lines.

Bring on Morecombe.

A great ball in but Brown didn't pick up his man who scored.
