very wise bart, although as much as i liked devlin if im honest his track record is not brilliant is it in what way? I know people will label the ticket price increase but Diamandis implement them and Devlin actually suggested it was a bad idea. His previous employment history was coming into clubs with big financial problems and starting the process of recovery through cuts and promotions - like the 1st time he was here. This was always why I was a bit puzzled by the accusations levelled against him, because if anything his history suggests he'd be more likely the man looking for cuts. That's what made me believe the side that suggested he was acting within what he felt was the budget, it's just that nobody set anything in stone and everyone went off in their own directions. cant be assed to go into the ins and outs rob,but it seems the reasons why he eventually left qpr were a bit contreversial jesus man if you're going to disagree with somebody, at least back it up with something other than "oh i can't be arsed to explain". as others have said, i don't think devlin's departure from qpr was suspicious at all...unless he was the one holding the gun?

whats the qpr story then? Daily Mail, 13 August 2005 *
Eleven men were arrested after a director of Queens Park Rangers football club had a gun held to his head near the boardroom as the team prepared to play at their West London ground. Five men allegedly kicked him and beat him and tried to force him to resign from the board. Another director has been charged with blackmail and firearms offences (Scotsman, 15 August 2005). Seven men were acquitted or cleared of all charges in June 2006 (Times, 28 June 2006).

wasn't that posted on a qpr forum by an ex-director though? not sure i believe it to be fair.
if it's true then arriba's right, his track record isn't whiter than white but who knows for sure? we know as well as anyone the bullshit that football boards spout.

Paladini made an allegation about him writing his own contract (which kind of suggests he was employed without a contract).
Paladini is the same guy who alleged these men held him at gunpoint (the case where everyone was acquitted).
Even if it were true, it's a bit odd that someone would be able to write their own contract and that it would become legally binding - in fact, it's not possible as you can't make a contract with yourself.
