Foggiest game I have been to was Torquay vs Blackpool, the year before last i think. Could JUST make out the goal at the other end but was a bit odd when nobody could tell that Blackpool had scored!

Last night it took me 15-20 minutes just to drive into Clane when its normally a comfortable 7 or 8! Was going about 35mph for some of it which is so annoying!
Ahhhh the joys of driving  :-))(

Another classic football fog, was v Bradfrod City about 88 or 89.

David Elleray had to abandon it with us 3-0 up and about 30 mins to go......thickest I've ever seen, you could hardly see the end of your arm.

Wasn't there a classic v Blackburn as well...boxing day I think? Didn't get abandoned but the fog was bad

Yep it got bad,  started off OK and deteriorated....the rules are if the ref stands on the half way line and can see the goals you can play....the fans couldn't see much but there was enough visibility to get through.

That was the game when Deadly Duncan Shearer scored from way out on the touchline in front of Shrivenham Road about 40 metres out , when he closed down a player blocked his hoof, and the ball sailed off into the TE goal  Cheesy

That was a classic game. I've got it on video and the way the fog came down so quickly over half time and into the second half!

It's hard to pick out Steve Foley's winning goal still; and I've watched it loads of times.

I remember that game. I was in the TE and there was no way you could see to the halfway line in the 2nd half! We were just reacting to noise from the Shrivvy Rd!

Did the other person say that they'd smell it? That would be a great answer

one of the five guys who got the job (not sure what the other 4 said) said he'd jog on the spot for 5 minutes then place it on his forehead. if it crystalized it was salt, if not it was sugar

Why would you not just taste it though? Surely employing people who aren't gonna fuck around jogging on the spot for 5 mins when you can sort it out in 5 seconds is just dumb. Someone should have words with those silly buggersr.

it displays thinking outside the box and microsoft want innovative thinkers. probably

can't work out why i posted it here, thought this was a thread with similar stuff in

back to fog... when i was out on monday night walking pub-to-pub, pub-to-club, freezing my tits off it was impossible to see down any of the side roads and therefore pretty difficult to work out where the fuck we were going
