Fuck off with the changing the avatar thing. This forum is fucking confusing enough without every member having the most identifiable part of their posts removed.
And what the fuck do you think it will achieve? You think they'll call an emergency board meeting becauase the members of thetownend.com all changed their avatars? No they won't. The whole thing will just annoy me. I advocate everyone changing their user name to Luc Nijholt......then we'll be like the italian anarchists Luther Blissett.

fair point, obviously got the painters in I did throw a bit of a strop. I stand by my point though. Why not do something useful instead like write to the club. Think that Martin Smyandsesd or what ever he's called email address is in another thread somewhere.

I've emailed him some midget porn. He must be bored to death of reading about Luc Nijholt today.

He's certainly the most interesting name that's been mentioned, and I can't help being caught up in everyone's enthusiasm. Get him in!
I wonder if he encourages his players to charge after someone they think has fouled them, and then scythe them down in retribution.

Jesus he must be regretting stating he'll welcome fans thoughts - in amongst the hundreds of mails supporting Nijholt there's probably one from Richard Branson offering us £30m and Guinluigi Buffon offering to help solve our keeper shortage

Vi er best i verden! Vi er best i verden! Vi har slått England 2-1 i fotball!! Det er aldeles utrolig! Vi har slått England! England, kjempers fødeland. Lord Nelson, Lord Beaverbrook, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Anthony Eden, Clement Attlee, Henry Cooper, Lady Diana--vi har slått dem alle sammen. Vi har slått dem alle sammen. Maggie Thatcher can you hear me? Your boys took a hell of a beating!"

I very much hope so Amir. It should be openly encouraged.

If you go with your advice Reg there's every possibility that in 5 or 10 years time we won't be known as "The Robins" but as the "Luc Nijholt's" instead. Ace.

Excellent - one of my favourite players.
I'd back him - I'm excepting that the next manager is likely to be shit anyway.

This is a good point.....should be near the top of his CV for reasons for getting the job...sadly though the naff goal celebration with Keith Scott, just about rules Luc out.
