The Ride Team snowboard bindings have really nice ratchets that are both easy to crank down and easy to release. The straps are comfortable and the aluminum baseplate has plenty of shock absorbing pads for comfort landing big tricks.

I've considered those, but I'm not sure they're for me.

Still, you're favourite for the pint after that.

How long you been riding the sp2s?

about 2 seasons - you probably can't even get them anymore to be honest !  the best bindings i think i had came on my first board, no name, cheap and simple with no gimmicks - they are knacked now though.  got a new nitro board last season which is brilliant, but its much better than the sp2s and my boots to be honest - need to invest for next season, although moving back to blighty now  Sad

this is a great time to look for new stuff in geneva - the swiss wouldn't dream of being seen in last years gear, so they flog it all off cheap about now.

Interesting, on our way out to resort we have to stop in Geneva to pick up a mate from the airport.  Where would you suggest I look if we have the time?

if you are in a car, you can leave the airport towards chamonix on the motorway and take the next exit for meyrin - few hundred metres and stop at the amusingly named 'athleticum' (which is next to the also amusingly named 'pfister meubles').  otherwise, same junction but direction towards geneva try 'sportx' in the again amusingly named 'balexert' shopping centre.  If you are in town centre its worth checking out aeshbach and ochsener - they are shoe shops, but in winter they sell ski and snowboard bindings and boots.  also, diy chains like 'jumbo' sell off basic branded boots and boards - you could get a pair of head boots in there for 50 quid a couple of days ago, which may not be the best, but for that money use them for a few weeks until they start to loosen up and then chuck them !

let me know when you go over, i'll probably have left by then, but i can still point you in the right direction.

don't ever buy burton, unless you want to be pointed at and laughed at.

We're picking my mate up 3 weeks from today, won't be back until May!

I'm good for boots, just after a set of freestyle bindings for the Agent so I can keep my Technines on my Palmer for freeriding.
