....This is only the second time in our history, we've drawn 3 league games in a row 1-1.....the first being in March 1929, when points were won at Norwich and Northampton sandwiching a home draw with Charlton.

bah! We've yet to beat Stanley, but we did get a point in 59 at Peel Park, and Arnold Darcy, who was there yesterday played.

When was the last time we played them? Oct 59 we got 3-1, Ernie Hunt, Bobby Woodruff and Keith Morgan all played.

12 October 1959...we lost 3-1 and Bobby Woodruff, Ernie Hunt, Keith Morgan and Arnold Darcy played, they were all at yesterday's game... Bobby Woodruff, was considered to have the longest throw-in in England at one time.

Indeed, his long throw contributed to a dozen goals in our promotion season of 63...  I'm impressed.....Bobby junior who played 1 game in the 80's wasn't as good as his father.
