Pretty much agree with Doore.
The way I see it. Brown was a complete tit and shouldn't have done/said what he did. He deserves what he gets from that respect.
However, if he is our best option on the pitch then for the good of the team he plays. That's Wises call.

I am actually undecided on this whole issue. Interesting question to all anti-Brown campaigners though, if Monkhouse was to get injured or suspended, would you want Brown back in the side? I personally would, as he would be the best option, and all I really care about is our club winning games. I'd go into the loan market to see if we could find a suitable replacement. Failing that, i'd either have to stick him in the team, or maybe play Brownlie behind the front two strikers - and play 3 in the midfield. My reasons for thinking Brown is a crap player do not stem from the fact that he wants to leave the club. Wisey brought Monkey into the club as a first choice player probably because he thought Brown wasn't up to the job. I hope Brown prooves me wrong, gets into the team and then wins player of the year award. However unless Brown ups his game by a few notches, i can't see that happening myself.

I can see why Brown's name has been mentioned - I'm yet to be convinced by Monkhouse - he should be a decent player for us but so far has looked a bit lightweight and a tad pedestrian. As for Brown, I've not been impressed with him at all. Like Shakes a bit rough around the edges, but Shakes is still cutting his teeth in the game, Brown's been around the block and is still ropey.
Plus Monky is new to the team, he has confidence and a bit of arrogane, Brown will be acking himself if he played because a) he's used to losing and b) he knows the crowd wcould turn on him.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
More pressing is the need to replace Pook and perhaps Nicho...

Roberts isn't a winger, he's a centre forward, and should be used only as such.

Wise will use him at some point, or else he would have kept him on the transfer list. We have to deal with that, I don't like him for his attitude towards this club either.
Monkhouse can be injury prone (according to Rotherham fans) and Brown would be an ideal replacement in that sense.

You have to be practical, think with your head not your heart. Yes, Brown didn't behave in the best manner, but football is riddled with these stories. Gerrard said he wanted to leave liverpool last summer, then changed his mind. Ashley Cole had illegal talks with Chelsea last summer, but still played for Arsenal last season, and played well.

yeah but Gerrard and Cole are world beaters, and regardless of what they did you would keep them. If Sam parkin after season two said he wanted to leave and stayed, you'd think - ok, but of an arse but fair play, he'll still do a job for us. Brown won't because he's not good enough - simple as that. He has done very little to make me think he's good enough to play for us - I'd rather wait for Monky to get going or give a kid a chance.

Well he impressed me at times last year, but is inconsistent. I will stick to my point though, that if Monkhouse was unavailable, Brown would be in my side.

if brown was half as good as he thinks he is, then he'd be in the starting 11, no questions asked, and we would have scouts from other clubs flocking to see him. as it is, he went on trial at doncaster rovers, and they didn't even want to sign him for free. monkhouse everytime for me - didn't see hartlepool away but sounded like a backs-to-the-wall effort by the whole team, and then against barnet he looked comfortable as part of the team (i.e. he was just as frustratingly inconsistant as everyone else out there)
