Yes it is...

Our team is winning without Aaron Brown, therefore there is no need for him

im not saying whether brown is better than monkhouse because ive seen little of either but i just dont by this 'he's a twat so don't pick him'. he's not your mate, he happens to play for the football team you support and if it gives them a better chance of winning so be it

It angers me to hear that a player thinks he can do "better" and play in a higher divison. That is not furthering his career, just being disrespectful to our club without reason (in the view he didnt have another team lined up to go to)

Seeing Brown play recently he looks uninterested, lazy and streets behind the others in terms of fitness......At the present time I don't think Monkey sets the world alight, however wants to be here and will definitely end up playing a useful role for us.

That is just my opinion.

The point is Parkin at the time was capable of playing in a higher league whereas I have never thought Brown was capable in a league higher than league 1 (obviously league two now).  Surely the fact that he is still here says something?

If the talent is there for him to play at a higher level then so be it but IMO it isn't in Browns case.

you can't blame the man for trying to better himself

all i'm saying if is he's shit then fair enough but nothing else matters in whether he plays or not. you don't know him so to call him a cunt for wanting to play a better standard (whether he's good enough or not) is deluded

parkin didnt say he was too good for our league, parkin didnt say he didnt want to play for us, parkin didnt get a trial away from us, then return with his tail between his legs when he got sent back...

parkin went about his transfer the right way, it was obvious he could do a job at a higher level (unfortunately we're yet to see it tho Sad ) and i do not begrudge him moving clubs. brown, however, is just a twat. a journeyman player, nothing hugely special, and most of all, it would appear his attitude fuckin stinks.

I never called him that once so please be accurate.

Im perfectly aware I don't know him but every footballer wants to play at a better standard. Doesnt mean they're good enough though does it!

Players like him thinking they're "too good" for STFC IMO are deluded.

Brown is a shit player.  The only good thing hes done for Town was score that goal against City.  Other then that hes consistantly performed below par for Town.  At least Monkhouse tracks back and defends

the brown apologists are pathetic.

what sort of message does it send out to the rest of the team when you can demand a transfer, go on trial elsewhere but not get offered a contract, then come back and walk straight into our first team?

if there's an easier way to destroy team spirit, then i can't think of one. it's a team game, if every fucker was only out for themselves then we'll be in the same place as oxford next season.

i've never liked him, everyone knows that and i'll openly admit that but drawing comparisons with parkin is ridiculous - parkin earnt himself the right to move to a bigger club/higher division with three consistent seasons of superb goalscoring. brown's only been here since december and he's been utterly shit for the vast majority of that time. the only worthwhile contribution i can recall him making was scoring against bristol city.

monkhouse hasn't impressed in his first two games for the club, give the boy time. if he's still not improved by this time next month then perhaps brown should be given another chance but ONLY if he proves his worth in training and improves his attitude, otherwise i'm sure david stroud would be more than happy to have another crack at first team football.

brown does not deserve to be at this football club.

I am actually undecided on this whole issue.  Interesting question to all anti-Brown campaigners though, if Monkhouse was to get injured or suspended, would you want Brown back in the side?  I personally would, as he would be the best option, and all I really care about is our club winning games.

If Brown bucks his ideas up and puts in the effort, you have to pick your best team - and if that includes Brown, then so be it.

P.S He was great against FGR.
