I've criticised Hargeaves a lot in the past, but I don't think the performances were largely his fault but Sven's. Sven's 'where shall I play him this time?' approach clearly didn't help the bloke's game. However, he's had a few good games so I'm not getting carried away. If all of the players had fulfilled their potential then Hargreaves wouldn't have looked quite so good.

Positives I can draw though:

*Hargreaves coming good for a bit
*Lennon doing well
*Lampard won't have a chance to bottle the WC again
*Mclaren is likely to play with proper wingers and will mix up the young players and the older players
*We can no longer over-rely on Beckham or Rooney

I've never once critised Hargeaves, the stick he got was uncalled for and unfair.
He has done really well in this world cup I felt.

It was great to see the england fans chanted his name before he took the penalty.
To see him crying at the end, actually upset me too birdy! All those horrible names he got, but really he's a true lionheart.
