ben wells isnt in his final year so he'll be around for another season or two.
i think we are all being a bit sentimental and not wanting to wave goodbye to our players but as king said"lock stock and barrel changes" he'll start from scratch only really wanting to retain o'hanlon, parkin, roberts and howard, he'll have to keep some others though. that's my take on things anyway

Can't see Jerel going he has a year remaining and with Reeves likely to be stepping down another gear it would leave us very short at the back.

Howard I'd only say there is a slim chance.  I can see him figuring now until the end of the season, which will probably trigger the 1year option he has.

Hold on... An EIGHT year contract? Was that irony?

He's good, but not that good :|

My thinking behind Jerel going was much the same as that behind Howard - both players will expect to be first team regulars after last season:  Howard breaking into the team and being a revalation, causing the team to shift formation to accomodate him (as he may see it!), whilst Ifil was heralded our saviour whilst on-loan and his signing was greeted with much enthusiasm.

Very much the flavour of last month, both players may feel alienated and get royally pissed off that they're sat on the bench watching a very mediocre team play....

This summer...

Evans - Expired
Book - Expired

Jenkins - 1 year
O'Hanlon - 1 Year
Ifil - 1 year + 1yr option
Reeves - Expired
Heywood - Expired
Duke - Expired
Nicholas - 1 year

Robinson - Expired
Igoe - Expired
Hewlett - Expired
Miglioranzi - 1yr
Smith - Expired
Howard - Expired +1yr option

Parkin - 1yr
Fallon - 1yr
Roberts - 2yrs

Final Year Scholars

Caton
Garrard
Pook
Holgate
Wells
Bulman

I think:

Evans - likely to leave, wasn't happy about only getting half wages, may want more money too, he won't get it here.
Book - May leave, possibly one year extension
Reeves - Coach but registered to play
Heywood - Probably new one year deal
Duke -  Possible new one year deal, wouldn't be surprised if he leaves though
Robinson - Definite OUT
Igoe - Offered a new one year deal
Miglioranzi - New one year deal maybe
Howard - will probably sign for another year
Smith - Offered a new one year deal
Hewlett - May leave, King's often said he's looking for a new defensive midfielder but we don't have the money unless someone leaves.
Caton - New one/two year deal

Parkin - Highly likely to leave over the summer for £450k or less.

Okay, here's my predictions and hopes.

Evans
I think there's a fairly good chance he'll go, I get the impression he's not too happy at the club of late and being dropped for Book the other week may have been the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. Probably benchwarm for some midtable Championship club.

Book
Back to non-league and we'll probably bring in another veteran keeper to replace him as backup. Or Digby will come out of retirement.

Reeves
Same as current contract but I'd be surprised if he played at all next season.

Heywood
Offered another 1 year deal.

Duke
Games played will trigger another 1 year extension.

Nicholas
Leave the club rather quietly and mysteriously.

Robinson
Sign for Notts Co

Igoe
Offered another 1 year deal.

Hewlett
King will finally recognise the need to get a more sturdy presence in he centre of midfield and get rid of Hewlett to some relegation battling League 2 side (Oxford?).

Smith
Two year deal!

Howard
Tired of warming the bench in the latter part of the season, he will decline his option of another year and drag his lardy arse around the country looking for a new club Kalum Mooniaruck style, failing miserably and joining Farnborough Town.

Parkin
I think he'll stay. I honestly do. Perhaps I'm trying to hide from the truth.

Fallon
Bristol Rovers will sign him on a free transfer.
