you should write the police a letter to appologise.
I don't think the police were exactly smelling of roses.... For starters they refused to contact anyone else after my mate's phone they tried was dead, so no one had a clue where I was til 8 hours after I was arrested when my mum tried the police station on the off-chance. They had also been winding me up, although that's not really much of an excuse.... especially as I'd have done the same thing to a pissed person in a stripey pink shirt.
perhaps they couldnt be arsed buggering about with a drunk. Dealing with drunk people when you are sober is the most irritating pointless thing ever. They tried a number for you, it didnt work. I'm pretty much 100% certain you werent being polite to them so they must have lost patients.
Being drunk is an excellent thing but some people shouldnt be allowed it.
I'm all for drunken fun stories, In fact I might tell one in a minute, but you need to learn when to stop.
