When I was in Junior school there was a book in the school library called 'Three Little Niggers' it had illustrations of black kids being chased up trees by tigers, etc.

The book itself was harmless, but the word 'Nigger' is obviously offensive and I doubt the book's still there.

Also there's a book by Agatha Christie called 10 Little Niggers that you can't buy anymore, despite that it doesn' t have any black people in it at all. It's now called; - 'and then there were none'.

This is a complete non story, it's not like they've banned the thing, they just didn't shortlist it for an award and to be honest it didn't deserve one. Also no-one uses blackboards anymore because they are shit and technology has moved on, the company I work for makes stuff for interactive whiteboards for schools and we do call them whiteboards so it's obviously not a racism issue. Shoo fly who make this 3 pigs thing have very basic stuff and that's the real reason they didn't win anything, it would have been a joke if they had. They are only moaning about now it to try and get some publicity, the awards were weeks ago.
