What a fucking season, we've had ups and downs. This has been a complete turnaround from the dross of last season. beating teams in every league. If we can keep hold of the key players I can't see why we can't be up there at the end of  next season. I was a bit worried in august when we went on that bad run, for me this is best season since 95-96. Proud to be a town fan.

Have a good summer chaps. Shame that we faded a little towards the end of the season. As already stated, it will be interesting to see what changes happen over the summer. Think that there will probably need to be 4-5 changes for us to be properly competitive in L1.

- Happy with 26 clean sheets
- Should have been a penalty for leading with the arm
- Bradford make it tough. Good performance from a team showing fight to stay up
- Chris Smith debut. Did quite well, especially with team mates not being on song. PDC thinks he can be a good professional in the future
- Thanks to the back room staff and the fans
- Favourite moment all year was the atmosphere in the dressing room. Southampton game aftermath gave them the opportunity to gel together. After Turkey defeat the 10 game streak was good. 31 December was the turning point
- 29 league wins: Better than expected? Built team month by month, by hard work. Although confident, it didn't look that good to begin with. When he had players who were raw material he could work with, he was able to improve the team. Also weeding out their team mates who weren't helping the team. Aim was top 3.
- Excited as a manager at the achievement. Last 4 months were an amazing achievement
- Tomorrow is a good way to have a reunion on the field and a good family event. Should be a good atmosphere.

It was brilliant at full time today. Paolo and Caddis got the team together, sat them down on the pitch in front of the away fans. Paolo put his finger to his lips to 'ssssshhhh' the fans, then the players started singing 'Stand up for the champions' to us.

I've always been a bit cynical about players and their comments about fans, they just say what they think we want to hear, but maybe it's different this year. We all know about Paolo's enthusiasm and how it almost feels like he's 'one of us', maybe that's rubbing off on the players.

Anyway, I'm sure someone will upload it to YouTube at some point, worth a look.  :)

We laid some flowers at the memorial also before the game. Put a lump in my throat reading the names of those who died. Especially standing with my two young boys. Kept thinking of them and how I would have felt if something like that took them away.

Fantastic day. Kids loved it. Finally got home at 11. Game was poor but what the hell. Minute silence was amazing. Shame the ground was so empty. Fun train ride home with it full of singing Town fans. Fantastic season so many great days out. Made up for some piss poor ones last season. Only down side was some twat calling my 5 year old a little bastard. Nice touch.

Was a good day out yesterday.
Not much to say about the match really.  Poor finishing and a bit of luck meant somehow we survived with a point.  I really thought we might nick it in the last 10 for an unjust win. Stonewall pen for handball!
Paolo and the players celebrating with the fans at the end was great and made up for the poor quality in the match.
I couldn't even get through the doors at the Bradford Arms it was so rammed, so had a quiet drink at the New Beehive - decent old-school place, like going back in time.

Yeah, wish I'd done a bit more research, cant be bad with Beehive in the name.

Mourihno is the only other one I can think off that comes close, not in the way of management style, but the way he seems to connect with the fans and oversteps the mark sometimes, shows arrogance and is totally commited to the cause when in the middle of things.

I just hope that Paolo shows more loyalty than Mourihno and doesn't look for the next big budget for a level that Mourihno does.

Fantastic day yesterday although the match itself wasn't a classic.  How Koszluk only got a booking for the tackle on Nathan Thompson I will never know. Never anywhere near the ball & took out Thompson just below the knee.  Far worse tackle than the one that got Beattie (Sheff Utd) a straight red at Exeter. Shame as I wanted to see how he'd perform when given his chance but was surprised when Chrissie Smith was brought on.

Felt for Chrissie Smith making his debut under those circumstances but he stuck at it & managed a couple of crucial interceptions.  Kyle Reid who he was marking was quite a handful but I've seen worse debuts than Smith's .  Bradford lacked composure in front of goal otherwise we'd have lost but I'm sure Parkinson will build a decent side given a budget and a busy pre-season in the transfer market.  For us, interesting that McEveley was selected to play left sided Central Defence in the absence of McCormack.  I though he looked pretty solid especially in the air although the ref did seem to give a free kick every time the Bradford players he tackled went down.  Flint had a fair old tussle against Hanson who at one time jumped for a ball & had his hand on Flint's head yet no foul was given.  We were very much second best especially in the first half & frankly never looked like getting anything until the final 20 minutes when we did put a few moves together & Caddis had a decent free kick tipped over. There was also a pretty clear handling incident by a Bradford defender that wasn't spotted by the ref although Benson had also made a poor tackle earlier that could have been punished.  I thought Storey looked useful when he came on & he made several determined & threatening runs although he didn't produce a clear opening for a shot.  Definitely one for the future though.  I see him as being a very decent impact player in the squad for next season.  To sum up, a valuable point away from home to finish the season.

No matter, the after match celebrations were superb - the fans loud & by & large magnificently behaved.  The observance of the minutes silence especially impressive - after all, as fans we do well to reflect that it could have been anyone of us involved in such a disaster.

One final thought, wonder what James Constable is feeling like this morning?

Question Prof (or anyone else who went for that matter).  Was Nahki Wells as impressive as he sounded on the commentary? Because it sounded from that like he tore Mceverly a new one.

Nahki Wells did sound awesome, I see he has recently extended his contract by 1 year and is in talks to extend it for 4 years so Bradford really rate him, would cost a pretty penny to buy I am sure.

Hiya, yes Wells was busy & harassed & chased after both of our central defenders, causing them problems all afternoon.  He was very dangerous and in my view was the main threat. However, given the chances that came his way, I'd have expected him to have put at least on of them away. Not convinced he's a natural goalscorer but that is on the evidence of one game at the end of a season when neither club had much riding on the outcome.  He's certainly one to be on our radar or wish list though.

His fellow front man Hanson was a very awkward & physical big target man who gave Flint as hard a game as he's had in any of the matches I have seen this year.  If Paolo is still after a big target man, he'd be one to reckon with.

One good highlight was bostock near the end teasing the full back into an air challenge after snatching the ball away at he last minute!

Beer was fucking awful.

Can anyone tell why this goal was disallowed?
I was the furthest away from that end of the pitch and could see sod all.
Also, was there a scuffle between our fans and Bradford fans? If so what was all that about?

The goal was disallowed for an earlier foul by Hanson on Fodders.

I think there was an outbreak of 'handbags' but no idea what precipitated it. I think someone said a seat was thrown but by whom & at whom I have no idea, I couldn't see either.

The goal was ruled out for a push on Wes, their number 9 just jumped straight into him.

As for the trouble, I believe one of our more intelligent fans decided to lead a one man idiot assualt on the Bradford fans
