We're going to see more of these mind games.  As PDC showed before the Oxford game with Constable, he still has a lot to learn in this area.  Tread carefully.  Evans has been around a long time and knows what he's up to.  A quiet, dignified (and possibly dismissive) response would be best.

Up to a point, but Evans was trying to cover things up by using hardmen to try and shut his players up.

Its still not a million miles away from what we were doing though.  Don't get me wrong, we were doing the same as what many were, and our punishment was highly out of context. However I do still get uncomfortable when we start sneering at other clubs for their financial misdemeanors.  Its not the fault of that club's fans, just as it wasn't our fault as fans back then.

I wish Paolo would simmer down and focus on the job in hand.  I don't care that he's 'laughed in the face of 70,000 Man U fans'.  Not relevant here.  Evans was angling for a reaction with his comments and now he's got one.  A dignified 'no comment' would have been a lot classier.

They were talking about our game tomorrow on Radio 5 during the half time break of the QPR vs Newcastle game.  After explaining a bit about Evans and his temperament and then playing PDC's response to Evans' comments, the commentator guaranteed that it would 'definitely not not kick off' tomorrow.

Basically, there's going to be a big scrap on the touchline and there's nothing anyone can do about it.  I would imagine that Fatboy would pack a bigger punch, but PDC is clearly going to be more agile and have greater manoeuvrability.  A lot could come down to the support offered by Piccareta and [insert name of Crawley assistant person here].  We shall see.
